Microsoft Community,
I am attempting to successfully install SQL server were a previous installation had occured. Due to security policies on our Coporate domain I was forced to pull the server out of the domain. The uninstall of the original SQL Express was 100 percent successful. Now when I try to perform a local reinstallation of the server I get a error in the Setup Support Rules. Below is the error
*********************************************************************
The initial error says "Consistency validation for SQL Server registry keys" When I click on view detail report the below additional information is displayed.
Rule Name - AclPermissionsFacet
Rule Description - Checks if the SQL server registery keys are consistent
Result - Failed
Message/Corrective Action - The SQL Server registery keys from a prior installation cannot me modified. To continue, see SQL Server Setup documentation about how to fix the registry keys.

Has anyone see this error during installation and have any input on how to fix this as this is an important server which is holding up a project.
