I am trying to install SQL server 2005 Express with a specific named instance on a windows 7 home premium 64-bit system.
The install fails when it tries to start the SQL server service of the newly created named instance. At which point it provides this fairly generic error:

This message comes up during the SQL Server Database Services, Configuring components stage.
The status box shows: Starting SQL Service: MSSQL$BRANDWISE (which is the named instance which is required to run the program I am attempting to install)
If I click retry, I just keep getting the same message. If I click the Cancel option the install starts a Rollback on the SQL Server Database services.
When I go to the log files I am overwhelmed with information which I do not really understand, the only thing that I can see which makes any sense to be is found in the summary log.
