Problem installing SQL2005 SP3 x32 on Windows 2008r2

I have a Windows 2008R2 64bit server. There is an existing SQL 2005 32bit instance running which has already been patched to SP3.

Now I am trying to install SQL 2005 Reporting Services.  I ran the SQL 2005 x86 setup and selected to install Reporting Services to the default instance.

I can see that Reporting services for x32 has correctly installed to C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.5\Reporting Services.

However when I try apply SP3 to Reporting Services, it tells me "Setup cannot update Reporting Services x64 on this computer. To proceed, run the Service Pack Setup program for the x64 platform instead."

However I am not running 64 bot version, I installed the 32 bit version of Reporting Services.

How can I move past this point, as launching the configurator without first patching to SP3 generates WMI errors.

Please help. Thanks Garth
