When installing SQL Server 2008, is it best to install the program on the C drive and the databases on another drive, or install both the program and database on the additional drive? Specifically, if the database location is changed, will problems be observed if the program files are installed on the C drive rather on than on the same drive as the databases?
My supervisor wants the databases to be install on a separate drive, but we question whether the program files should be installed on the same drive as the databases.
